Minimalist Heavy Metal Posters

We have probably all seen these inspirational minimalist movie posters in the web. I decided to give it a go and see what kind of stuff I can come up with metal band fictional posters. As an art movement, the roots and foundation of Minimalism started somewhere during the early 20th Century by De Stijl movement and Russian painters such as Kazimir Malevitš whose paintings were very simple and abstract. But it was Post War time in the 1960’s when Minimalism was identified as an art movement. It’s main purpose is to eliminate all non-essential forms, features or concepts from art, music and architecture. Til this day we have seen many famous consumer products as an result of Minimalism movement such as Morris Mini. Most famous and Minimalist artist are  have been Donald Judd, John McCracken, Agnes Martin, Dan Flavin, Robert Morris, Anne Truitt, and Frank Stella. Architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe said the famous words “Less is more” by meaning to create an impression of extreme simplicity.

Enough history, I hope you enjoy these.
